Wilderness King's Pool consistently delivers the best dry season game viewing in far northern Botswana. Situated on the border with Namibia’s Caprivi Strip, Wilderness King's Pool is in an area vital to the seasonal movements of elephant herds, and to the survival of rare roan and sable antelope. Looking down over the Linyanti River, and up from the safety of sunken hides gives guests unexpected angles from which to witness great wildlife moments.

Seven well-appointed twins and one suite, all of canvas, wood and thatch, soak up the views of the lagoon. The main area, deck and bar offer uninterrupted views, with closer proximity to the water, while parts of the roof extend down to ensure privacy.

The name Qorokwe means 'the place where the buffalo broke through the bush into the water' and is evocative of the high-density game area in which the camp is situated. The diverse habitats of the south-eastern Okavango support a wealth of wildlife, earning the area’s well-deserved reputation as a top Botswana safari destination.

Wilderness Qorokwe has nine tented suites, one of which is a spacious family unit with a private plunge pool. Day 1

At a time to be advised, make your way to the airport for your scheduled flight to Zimbabwe. Victoria Falls is one of the world’s most impressive waterfalls. It is set on the magnificent Zambezi River which creates the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. These spectacular falls can be easily visited and viewed from the Zimbabwean side. Considered to be the world’s widest waterfalls, Victoria Falls measures an impressive 1708 metres in width. The small town of Victoria Falls, which lies adjacent to the waterfalls, serves as a great base from which to explore the many attractions this area of Zimbabwe has to offer. The surrounding area provides a wide range of adrenalin-filled activities for adventure lovers. Visitors can look forward to an array of wonderful activities including: scenic flights, micro lighting, white water rafting, bungee jumping, kayaking, and once-in-a-lifetime expeditions into the incredible Chobe National Park.

After completing immigration and customs formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here you will connect with your scheduled charter flight to Kings Pool Camp where you will stay for three nights.

Day 5 – 6

Enjoy two full days of game viewing activities at King’s Pool Camp.

Thanks to a range of habitats, King’s Pool offers spectacular wildlife viewing, whether on land or water, while the luxuries of the camp itself round off the safari experience.

Morning and afternoon Morning and afternoon game drives are offered in open 4×4 Land Rovers. Night drives with spotlights allow you to find those nocturnal animals you wouldn’t see during the day.

On request, nature walks with skilled, armed guides are wonderful ways of getting close to nature and observing the smaller things you miss when traveling by vehicle.

There are two hides in the vicinity of Kings Pool from which to view and photograph animals and birds. One is located at the western end of camp and the other is an original underground hide, with the water at eye level.

Barge cruises along the Linyanti River are on offer on the colonial-style Queen Sylvia barge, generally with sundowners in hand. The river is ideal for numerous and diverse species of birds and are a magnet for game in the dry winter months. * This activity is water level and weather dependent.

Fishing with a limited supply of basic equipment is on offer on a catch-and-release basis. *Seasonal.

Birding is outstanding at Kings Pool Camp, with the Linyanti Concession an internationally recognised Important Bird Area (IBA), particularly for birds of prey like Dickinson’s kestrel and waterbirds. In summer southern carmine bee-eaters nest near camp.

Day 11 – 12

Enjoy three full days at your leisure in Cape Town.

Cape Town is recognized as one of the most beautiful places on earth. Offering a range of attractions, breathtaking sights and endless activities, it is a year-round holiday destination with friendly people, a mild climate and rich cultural heritage.

Catch the “Hop-on-Hop-Off” bus to the cable way for a cable car ride to the top of Table Mountain, or if you are feeling energetic, and want to stretch your legs, you could take one of the hiking trails up and come down by Cable Car. The first car up is at 8:00 am and the last car down is at 10:00 pm.

Within easy reach of your hotel, the V&A Waterfront offers world class shopping and entertainment opportunities such as diving at the Two Oceans Aquarium, the SA Maritime Museum, clay pigeon shooting cruise with Tigger 2, harbor cruise or a sundowner cruise, helicopter flip, and more.

Walk past loud blubbery seals sunning on the pier and take the ferry to Robben Island to visit former South Africa president, Nelson Mandela’s prison cell. Go on a township tour to experience traditional “Cape Flats” life and African culture and cuisine.

Upon arrival, you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative and transferred to MalaMala Camp, where you will stay for three nights.

Day 14 – 15

Enjoy two full days of game viewing activities at MalaMala Camp.

There are no typical days at MalaMala – each is different based on the wild animals and the guest’s interests.

A 05:30 am wake-up call by your ranger heralds the dawn. Meet your ranger and safari companions at 6:00 am on the safari deck as the sun rises over the bushveld for a light breakfast before heading on on the morning game drive. Game drives are conducted in open 4-wheel drive safari vehicles in the 40,000 acre private reserve. The rangers are in constant radio communication with one another to keep each other informed about the location of wildlife. Headsets are used for this purpose so as not to interrupt the sounds of the African bush. The 4-wheel drive safari vehicles enable the rangers to leave the road and provide guests with close up game viewing and fantastic photographic opportunities.

Not only are you sure to see the Big Five, but you will also leave with a deep understanding of the complex ecology that envelopes this great landscape. One of the oldest and best known camps in Kruger National Park, the MalaMala Main Camp rings with African authenticity in each of its thatched bungalows.

At approximately 9:30 am, you will return to camp where a hearty breakfast awaits you in the air-conditioned dining room or on the expansive safari deck.

For the more energetic, join the bush walk after breakfast. Alternatively relax around the pool, browse through the safari boutique, work out in the small gym or perhaps take a siesta to make up for that early morning wake-up call. Feel free to explore the camp but please do not walk beyond the camp perimeters unless accompanied by a ranger. A buffet lunch is served from 1:30 pm, though some prefer to sleep through after their later breakfast.

Once again meet at 4:00 pm for hot and cold beverages and a light snack on the expansive safari deck before departing on another unforgettable game drive. A cooler box with the veritable sundowners are carried on the landrover and a consensus amongst your fellow safari-ites will determine whether the G & T is worth more than the leopard sighting! An African sunset is memorable and oft emotional sight. Night drives, with the aid of powerful spotlights, bring the bush to life at night. As darkness approaches, your ranger will scan the bush with a powerful spotlight and will point out the elusive nocturnal wildlife – a highlight of the day’s safari. As darkness settles over the bush, look out for the Milky Way – a truly spectacular sight – or try to find the Southern Cross.

Return to camp at approximately 8:00 pm, allowing time for you to freshen up before meeting your friends and rangers for pre-dinner drinks in the cozy safari bar. Dinner is served at 9:00 pm in the reed enclosed “boma” under an ancient Jackalberry tree. Alternatively, when the weather is suitable, a candlelit dinner is served on the safari deck overlooking the Sand River. While seated around a log fire under the starry African sky, enjoy the superb food and excellent wines.

After breakfast and a morning activity (time permitting), you will be transferred by a camp vehicle to the airstrip for your scheduled charter flight to Mpumalanga. Here you will connect with your scheduled flight to Mozambique. Upon arrival, after completing immigration and customs formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here you will be met by a hotel representative and transferred to Santorini Mozambique, where you will stay for four nights.

Day 17 – 19

Enjoy three full days at leisure in Vilanculos.

Nicknamed the ‘Pearl of the Indian Ocean’, the Bazaruto Archipelago is a much-coveted travel destination in Mozambique. It is known for its white sandy beaches, glistening turquoise waters and some of the best scuba-diving in the world. As one of the largest marine reserves in the Indian Ocean, the archipelago supports over 2000 species of fish, as well as dolphins, whales, turtles and sharks. It also holds the largest population of Dugong in Mozambique. The archipelago consists of 5 islands: Bazaruto, Benguerra, Magaruque, Banque and Santa Carolina. It is a birders paradise, with a recorded list of over 180 species. You’ll also find 45 reptile and amphibian species; suni antelope, red duiker, endemic butterflies and the characteristic Samango monkey on the islands within the national park.

Activities: Being on the mainland, our guests have the opportunity to experience everything this magical place has to offer. From spending a day out on the magical waters surrounded by the flamboyance of flamingos to exploring the colorful markets and local shops of Vilanculos town.

Our activities room is geared for almost any pending adventure, for all ages and its all complimentary during your stay at Santorini. We have assorted kayaks, stand up paddle boards, snorkelling gear, fishing gear and even a gym in a bag for a quick workout session or yoga on the sunset patio as the sun rises above the silhouette of Magaruque Island.
