Upon arrival to Cape Town International Airport, you will be met and transferred to More Quarters Hotel where you will stay for four nights.
With Table Mountain โ one of the most spiritual places on earth at its heart and two oceans at its feet, the city of Cape Town, strategically situated at the south-western tip of Africa, has been famed for centuries as the Tavern of the Seas. Vibrant, cosmopolitan and an eclectic mix of old and new, this laid-back city is as much at home with its 17th century castle โ whose cannons have never been fired in anger โ as it is with its sleek skyscrapers and trendy malls. Home to South Africaโs first Mosque, oldest wine farm, a 350 year-old garden and timelessly beautiful beaches, itโs no surprise the legendary Flying Dutchman and his spectral ship have spent eternity sailing the cityโs shores.
The More Quarters Apartment Hotel beautifully combines the benefits of a hotel with the independence of a luxury apartment. It is conveniently located amidst the popular restaurants, cafes and shops of Kloof Street โ an area often referred to as the โheart of Cape Townโ by the locals.

Enjoy a FULL DAY with a private guide and vehicle at your disposal from More Quarters to accommodate your specific requirements, such as a trip around the Cape Peninsula perhaps?
On this must-do private journey around the Cape Peninsula, youโll tour the spectacular Atlantic seaboard. The drive takes you past the swish seaside suburbs of Sea Point and Clifton, and on to Camps Bay, with its many trendy beachfront cafรฉs and restaurants.
The exclusive hamlets of Bakoven and Llandudno are also gorgeous sights to take in on your way to the fishing village of Hout Bay. Next, youโll navigate the breathtaking curves of Chapmanโs Peak Drive as it follows the Peninsulaโs rocky coastline, revealing spectacular views in all directions.
At the Cape of Good Hope, which forms part of Table Mountain National Park, you have the opportunity to see some fabulous birdlife, as well as very special fauna, such as Cape mountain zebra, bontebok and chacma baboons. Ride the funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse and capture even more magical vistas of False Bay, or if you are feeling active, hike up from the famous Cape of Good Hope landmark.
Of course, no visit to the Cape Peninsula would be complete without popping in at Boulders Beach to witness the antics of the African penguins. Head home through the naval village of Simonโs Town, stop to browse the eclectic range of shops and galleries in bohemian Kalk Bay, and spot the surfers vying for the best waves at Muizenberg.
To round off your day, take a stroll through Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, nestled on the slopes of Table Mountain. Here you can admire a panoply of the unique Cape flora also known as fynbos, as well as plants from the many diverse biomes of southern Africa. Or, if you prefer the fruits of a different kind of plant altogether, enjoy a wine tasting at one of the premium estates in the Constantia Valley.

The Cape has been a melting pot of cultures since long before the first Europeans arrived. As South Africaโs first city, Cape Town (fondly known as the Mother City), is home to people of โall the colours of the rainbowโ as Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu famously remarked.
Follow the journey of the earliest hunter-gatherers to the European settlers, apartheid South Africa and the new democratic South Africa. Take in a museum or two and stroll through the Companyโs Garden, flanked by notable buildings such as the Houses of Parliament and St Georgeโs Cathedral.
Visit Robben Island, a World Heritage Site. Once a prison, amongst its more famous inmates was South Africa’s first democratically elected president, Nelson Mandela. He spent two decades of his life on the island, along with some 3 000 other political detainees, many of whom were icons of the resistance and became leaders of the new South Africa.
Cape Town was nominated ‘World Design Capital’ for 2014. The city’s chosen theme for the year was โLive Design, Transform Lifeโ, and evidence of this can be seen all over the city, in particular in Woodstock where a new design precinct has developed.
For the art lover, Cape Town has a myriad art galleries, street art and gardens to explore, from classical and traditional to avant-garde installations and township art. Galleries such as the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, Association of Visual Arts, What in the World, SMAC, Greatmore Studios, Goodman, Irma Stern, Stevenson, Everard Read and The Norval Foundation are all in close proximity to the city.

You will be collected from Da Vinci Hotel on Nelson Mandela Square and taken on a Johannesburg: Food, Art and Fossil Day Tour.
Born out of a late-19th-century gold rush, Johannesburg โ or Egoli, meaning โplace of goldโ in Zulu โ rapidly grew to become South Africaโs economic engine. Today, the cityโs many ethnicities and cultures can be explored through its food, music and thriving arts scene.
Itโs also a place of stark contrasts, where leafy suburbs of high-walled mansions are juxtaposed with sprawling, corrugated shanty towns. This gaping difference in fortune is partly a result of the ruthless apartheid regime that swept the nation during the 20th century. Places like the Apartheid Museum, Constitution Hill and Liliesleaf Farm paint a picture of these turbulent years.
While the city is undergoing rapid regeneration in up-and-coming pockets like Maboneng Precinct, Johannesburg is rawer than Cape Town. Itโs a city thatโs both deeply rooted in its past yet forward-thinking and optimistic about its future.
Johannesburg is a real African city whose resilience shines through in the vibrant culture and creativity of its people. My highlight is the Maboneng Precinct, which is stuffed full of art and foods that reflect modern-day South Africa.
