Back at the lodge, one steps back in time, into the classical ambience of an original 1920s homestead. &BEYOND Kirkman’s Kamp has spectacular views of the unspoiled landscape that surrounds the Sand River from each of its 12 guest cottages, including a family cottage consisting of two interconnected reguale cottages. Here, old meets new; with antique-styled beds seamlessly blending with modern comforts, while private verandas creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. A library offers a sanctuary filled with interesting reads, while the classical sitting room provides the ultimate setting to enjoy a pre-dinner drink. Immersed in the bushscape is a rim-flow swimming pool with views of the Sand River. Guests enjoy tea on the rolling lawn, while breakfast and lunch are served on the shady and picturesque verandas. Dinner is a magnificent affair, where mouth-watering Pan-African menus can be enjoyed in a boma, on the lawns, or in a candlelit bush setting. Choose from a variety of exciting activities such as twice-daily game drives, interpretive bush and nature walks, private, family, birding or photographic safaris, or even a game of croquet or tennis (complete with Pimms and strawberries). Our WILDchild programme is designed especially for children visiting our safari lodge and is filled with fun, interactive activities.

Featuring 3 exclusive-use, designer villa’s with 2 lounges, dining areas, outdoor boma, wine cellar & swimming pool, as well as, a private game viewing vehicle & designated field guide and tracker for the duration of your stay. Named after two of Sabi Sand’s legendary leopards, and a dominant lion coalition the three villas are named “Mvula”, “Karula” and “Mapogo” respectively. Offering guests unrivaled game viewing opportunities, combined with the ultimate in innovative architectural design, the lodge promises exceptional safari luxuries, amenities and services. Each villa is comprised of 4 luxurious private suites. These king-bed (and twin optimal) fitted suites feature a private deck, dressing room and lounge, double rain shower and bath overlooking the splendid African bushveld together with a mini bar and coffee station, as well as desk. The vision for the interiors of the villas is to seamlessly blend in with the natural surroundings, enhancing the safari experience of the guests. A calm and distilled palette with natural materials were carefully chosen to create a minimalist interior inspired by African elements and bringing the outside in.

Set above the perennial waters of the Sand River, Dulini River’s understated décor and subtle African aesthetic, infused with the tones and textures of the riverine setting, combine to create an effortlessly stylish safari escape. Beneath the boughs of mature riverine forest, boardwalks meander to reach the six chic suites, each boasting a wide private terrace and offering unforgettable wilderness that will leave you feeling enchanted and longing for more.

The serenity of the setting is reflected in elemental tones and textures of six magnificent suites, which emerge from the banks of the river. With cantilevered decks boasting heated plunge pools, relaxation in Nature’s peace is a given.

From walls of dry-packed stone to striking chandeliers of hand-carved wooden branches, throughout the lodge organic textures and tones reflect the palette of panoramic views enjoyed from the elevated deck overlooking the Sand River. In the lounge a crackling fire keeps the winter’s chill at bay, while the multi-level dining area offers both a vibrant communal space and a memorable venue for intimate private dinners.

Idube is situated in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve, adjoining the Kruger National Park in South Africa. This world renowned reserve is known for conservation efforts, particularly in protecting rhino. The reserve is also extending its efforts to the community on the borders of the Sabi Sands, Mpumalanga, in uplifting and improving their conditions, as well as their understanding of the value of the reserve for the future. Idube is proud to be part of these good works. Idube Game Reserve traverses approximately 10 000 hectares of wildlife area and is home to the big 5 animals, as well as a large variety of other animals. A great draw card for guests is the leopards, which are seen frequently. When the lodgewas refurbished, the gazebo and fire-pit was added as a great chill out areas for relaxing and enjoying the view. All bedrooms have Wi-Fi, as do the entertainment areas.

The lodge has 8 comfortable Safari chalets, 1 Leadwood suite with plunge pool and 2 x Luxury Makubela suites with plunge pools. Set amongst green lawns and shady trees. In between drives, guests can enjoy the pool and the hide.

Leopard Hills Private Game Reserve is situated in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve, bordering the world famous Kruger National Park. Lion Sands River Lodge is situated in the Lion Sands Game Reserve – one of Africa’s truly unspoiled wilderness areas, where the private Sabi Sand Game Reserve meets the world-renowned Kruger National Park. Inspired by ancient organic-shaped stones strewn along in the Sand River, the 12 glass-front suites at Singita Boulders Lodge all feature spacious interiors with fireplaces and open up onto expansive private decks with heated pools and outdoor showers – allowing guests to continuously connect with this incredible and vast wilderness.

Singita Ebony Lodge, located on the Sand River in the Singita Sabi Sand reserve offers a contemporary take on the classic safari lodge, combining tented camp and bush lodge style. The lodge comprises 12 suites, each with its own private plunge pool. Inspired by the romance and adventure of tented camps and explorers’ abodes, the external walls have been almost completely removed and replaced by canvas and glass to create safari tent-style suites to maximise views, and to allow guests to be immersed in nature. Outdoor pavilion decks – ideal for dining and relaxing – are suspended off the river banks as if hanging in the trees.
