Officially known as Olhao da Restauracao, the town of Olhao Is set in the Algarve region of southern Portugal. One of south Portugal’s most peaceful destinations, this charming seaside town is filled with white-washed buildings and serves as a great base from which to discover islands with beautiful beaches. Visitors can enjoy the collection of tranquil beaches along the Algarve, visit the fresh fish market and explore the natural landscapes of the Parque Natural da Ria Formosa, which is home to rare migratory birds in a vast protected lagoon system that stretches for sixty kilometres along the Algarve coastline.
