Upon arrival into Reykjavik, after completing immigration and customs formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here you will be met by a Luxury Trips representative and taken to explore Reykjanes Peninsula GeoThermal Areas (Krýsuvík, Gunnuhver, Volcano Eruption Site). The Reykjanes (or Southern) Peninsula is located in the southwestern corner of Iceland. Home to Keflavík International Airport, the major point-of-entry for most visitors to the country, the Reykjanes Peninsula is far more than just a transit hub, boasting some stunning sights and attractions to explore. Don’t miss The Blue Lagoon, a world-famous geothermal health spa; the bubbling mud pools of Gunnuhver; or the Bridge Between Continents at Sandvik (a structure which straddles the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates). Other key sights include Viking World (near Reykjanesbaer), a fascinating museum with a full-size replica ship on display, and Keflavik’s Icelandic Museum of Rock ‘n’ Roll, a beautifully-designed exhibition space with funky, modern installations first opened in 2014. Afterwards, you will be transferred to The Retreat at Blue Lagoon, where you will stay for one night.

This morning, you will be collected by a Luxury Trips representative and taken on a South Coast Adventure with Ice Caving and Black Sand Beaches. You’ll visit: Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, the picturesque Reynisfjara Beach is located on Iceland’s south coast and is famous for its long stretch of black sand. Situated alongside the Atlantic Ocean with its rough waves, the beach features unusual rock formations. Sólheimajökull Glacier, resting between the volcanoes of Katla and Eyjafjallajökull in Southern Iceland, Sólheimajökull is an outlet glacier of the mighty icecap of Mýrdalsjökull. Since it is one of the easily accessible glaciers to reach from the bustling city of Reykjavík, this magical glacier has become famous for travellers wanting to admire its beauty during a hike or scenic drive. Skógafoss Waterfall, skógafoss Waterfall is the largest waterfall in Iceland and is situated at the Skógá River. A unique feature of the Skógafoss waterfall is the constant rainbow that’s visible on clear days. Next to the waterfall is a hiking trail where one can explore the glaciers and other landmarks nearby. This attraction is also an ideal location for movies and video shoots. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Glacier Lagoon Hotel, where you will stay for one night.
In the evening, you will go on a Hunt for the Northern Lights.

This morning, you will be collected by a Luxury Trips representative and taken on another South Coast Adventure. You’ll visit: Vatnajökull Glacier where you will go Ice Caving. Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, Seljalandsfoss is a 60m (196 ft) tall waterfall located along the popular ring road. Behind the flow of water is a path, allowing visitors to peek behind the curtain of water cascading over the rocks above. The Glacier Lagoon Iceberg Lake and Diamond Beach. Afterwards, you will be transferred to Hotel Ranga, where you will stay for two nights.

This morning, you will be collected by a Luxury Trips representative for your Golden Circle Food, Farms and Snorkeling Tour. You’ll visit Fridheimar Tomato Farm and Myrkholt Horse Farm (booking a horse riding tour is possible). Gullfoss Waterfall, one of the most popular tourist attractions in Iceland. It runs down the river Hvítá into beautiful curved three step “staircase”! It is a very powerful experience to walk close to the waterfall on the west side as on average we have 140 cubic meters per second (80 in winter) falling down the staircases. When you arrive at Gullfoss parking area, the edge can’t be seen, so it appears as the earth is simply absorbing the waterfall. Geyser Geothermal Area, is located in the geothermally active valley Haukadalur. Today the most active is Strokkur, an energetic spouting hot spring, which goes up every 5 minutes or so. The white column of boiling water forms a beautiful half bubble before it goes up as a super-heated steaming water. It can reach the height of 15-30 m (60-90 feet). Strokkur (the churn) was formed in an earthquake in the year of 1789. Other interesting hot springs are Blesi and Fata, the former are two large basins separated by the ”blaze” but connected to it is Fata. We also have Konungshver named after King Christian IX king from Denmark. Thingvellir National Park ( Þingvellir National Park), is a UNESCO world heritage site and the most significant place regarding Icelandic history. The name Thingvellir in Icelandic means “Parliament Fields”. The general assembly, the Althing was established here in 930 AD making it one of the oldest parliaments in the world. Thingvellir is also known for its geology and has been a protected area since 1928. Thingvellir is among the very few places on Earth where you can observe a continental drift valley between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

At a time to be advised, you will be collected by a Luxury Trips representative and transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight to Akureyri. Upon arrival, you will be met by a Luxury Trips representative and taken to visit the Lake Mývatn Area with Dimmuborgir Lava Fields, Hverir Mud Pools, Grjótagjá Grotto and Dettifoss Waterfall (time permitting). The majestic Dettifoss Waterfall is located within the Vatnajökull National Park in Iceland. The falls is part of the Jökulsá á Fjöllum river and cascades down at the height of 44 metres. It is one of the most powerful falls in Iceland in terms of the volume of water discharged. Facilities such as a pit toilet, a viewing platform, hiking trails and a parking area are available. Afterwards, enjoy snowmobiling on Frozen Lake (also possible the next day) before relaxing in the Nature Baths. From here you will be transferred to Vogafjos Farm Resort, where you will stay for one night.

This morning, you will be collected by a Luxury Trips representative and taken Whale Watching in Akureyri. Experience some of Iceland’s rich and thriving bird life as well as the large variety of sea-life, you have the chance to see minke whales, humpback whales, harbor porpoises and white-beaked dolphins and other whale species. After, head to Baccalao Factory for lunch before being transferred to the airport for your scheduled flight back to Reykjavik. Upon arrival, you will be met by a Luxury Trips representative and transferred to Canopy by Hilton Reykjavik, where you will stay for two nights.
