On a dark winter night in Iceland, join a mysterious tour looking for the Aurora Borealis. Far from the glow of Reykjavik city, we hunt for the elusive Northern Lights.
From autumn until spring, during clear and cold dark nights, it’s possible to witness one of nature’s most incredible displays: the Northern Lights, also known as Aurora Borealis. On this evening tour we may be lucky enough to see them swirling and dancing across the sky changing endlessly colour, shape and size.

After breakfast you will be collected for your Full Day Delicious Golden Circle Food group tour.
This tour lets you explore Icelandic food from farm to table and also visit some of the most popular natural landmarks in Iceland.
We start with some stunning nature and a trip to magnificent Þingvellir National Park, a site of renowned beauty, panoramas and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 2004, this is where the Icelandic parliament, Alþingi, was formed in 930 AD. It‘s also where you can see the meeting of the European and North America continents.
It’s then on to the cozy farm of Efstidalur farm which offers a warm welcome and introduction to the workings of a modern, Icelandic farm. You’ll literally get to see the farm at work through the farm café window that looks on to the cows munching hay. Look forward to tasting some treats, too – their freshly made colorful ice cream, Icelandic’s wonder food – skyr, feta cheese, mysa – a traditional dairy soft drink favored by the Vikings and carpaccio and bruschetta. And that’s just for starters. Be sure to leave room for their home made soup and bread, their roast beef and fresh trout from the river Útey.
After whetting your appetite we then visit Gullfoss waterfall. This thundering waterfall can be experienced up close, if you walk down to the rocks or you can climb to the viewing platform above. We then visit the hot spring and bubbling hot pots area around Geysir and the sprouting Strokkur, which frequently gushes water up to 30 meters in the air.
After these national landmarks, we stop at Friðheimar, a little piece of the Mediterranean in the middle of Iceland, thanks to a series of greenhouses that produce tomatoes all year round. Here, you receive an introduction to the operation of growing tomatoes and taste some of their delicious foods all in the warmth of their greenhouses: a selection of bruschetta, some of their home grown vegetables and raise a glass and taste their mouthwatering tomato schnapps.
Last but not least we visit Islenski bærin, one of Iceland‘s best preserved turfed farms. In connection with the age old tradition of turf houses, here you can also taste some of the most traditionally Icelandic food. The menu is not always the same but some of the delicatessen are dry fish and seaweed, flat bread and smoked lamb, pancakes with whipped cream and rhubarb jelly and fresh honey and herbal tea.
Fully fed both by Icelandic nature and Icelandic delicacies we then drive back to Reykjavik.

Snæfellsnes peninsula is a beautiful area located on the west side of Iceland which offers many recreational activities.
Our first stops after reaching the peninsula are at Gerðuberg, a columnar basalt cliff in Hnappadalur valley, and Ölkelda, a natural spring of clean drinking water. We then continue around the peninsula and to the National Park. On our way we will stop at Arnarstapi and enjoy its extraordinary shores and scenery. Nature lovers enjoy the spectacular landscapes and peculiarities of the surroundings and spend time hiking and bird watching along the precipitous shoreline where it is quite common to see seals.
We continue our journey through the National Park where you can find many beaches and amazing bird life. In this area there are many signs of ancient eruptions with various lava formations and craters.
Snæfellsjökull glacier is a dormant volcano which attracts thousands of people each year. Some visitors assemble here regularly each summer to enjoy the energy radiation, as they believe it to be one of earths seven energy spots.

Travel through the south Iceland farming lands to the black sand beaches, thundering waterfalls, powerful volcanoes and majestic glaciers on the south coast.
The first stop is at Skógarfoss. A picturesque waterfall thundering down the slopes of Eyjafjallajökull volcano. A waterfall frequently used in movies and commercials.
Then onwards for a leisurely stroll along the black sand beach of Reynisfjara. The beach features stacks of basalt columns that wall off surrounding cliffs scattered with caves.
Offshore you will see Reynisdrangar pillars, basalt rock stacks that rise from the sea. Icelandic legend says they were trolls turned into rock by the rising sun when they came home late after a fishing trip.
We round off this great sightseeing tour with a stop at Seljalandsfoss waterfall where we can walk behind this magnificent wall of water, right in the slopes of Eyjafjallajökull volcano.
On a clear day you will have a fantastic view of famous volcanoes, Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull. You will also see the Westman Islands, rising steeply from the ocean just a few kilometres of the coast.
This tour is a great value and easy with an adventurous twist. Sights are breathtaking and one really is confronted by the landscape that has been formed by the interaction of volcanos and glaciers.

Today you will be collected for a private Blue Lagoon tour which includes two hours at the lagoon.
The Blue Lagoon geothermal spa is one of the most visited attractions in Iceland.
The steamy waters flow through a lava formation. The warm waters are rich in minerals like silica and sculpture and bathing in the Blue Lagoon is reputed to help some people suffering from skin diseases. The water temperature in the bathing and swimming area of the lagoon averages 37-39°C. The lagoon is fed by the water output of Svartsengi, the nearby geothermal power plant, and is renewed every 2 days.
Beautifully situated amongst the dramatic lava fields of Reykjanes, the Blue Lagoon offers a relaxing wellness experience in soothing waters enriched with silica and minerals beneficial for the mind and body.
The Blue Lagoon is large, but not very deep, and provides a moon-like ambiance for lounging in its bright blue water. Other amenities on site include a sauna, steam room and a warm waterfall which is refreshing and good for the muscles. There are pots of silica around the lagoon for guests to give themselves a unique facial treatment and a “swim up” bar that offers among other refreshments; the famous Blue Lagoon cocktail.
