This impressive park covers two deserts – each with a unique ecosystem – and the Little San Bernardino Mountain range. A fascinating variety of plants and animals inhabit this land and visitors can experience this biodiversity while hiking, bird-watching or attending some of the ranger programs. Other activities include rock-climbing, star-gazing and camping. While exploring the park, visitors can stroll through the beautiful Joshua tree forest at Black Rock, learn about the cultural history of Cottonwood Spring Oasis and see the eery, hollowed eye-sockets of Skull Rock.

Today, enjoy a Privately Guided Rock Climbing Lesson in Joshua Tree National Park.
You’ll start very easy with excellent instruction and gear, and will begin with “Bouldering” where you’ll climb low to the ground, implementing spotting, precision footwork, body positioning, balance, awareness and use of rock features.
Next, you will practice your belaying/ lowering and climbing on top-rope protected climbs. This means you will be climbing on real rock outside. Learning to rock climb in a place with incredible natural beauty make for an unforgettable quality experience. We’ll plan for a half day of activity today, and you should plan to pack lunch, snacks and plenty of water for the day.

After breakfast, it’s back to the coast you go where you’ll spend your final time in California. You’re headed to the bustling city of San Diego (2 hour drive time), where you’ll make your way to Hotel del Coronado where you will stay for two nights.

If you are eager to experience all that our beautiful La Jolla Sea Caves have to offer both above and below the water, then this tour is for you! You will begin your tour by paddling through an ecological reserve with an experienced naturalist guide, learning about La Jolla Cove’s history and wildlife. Your guide will lead you to the Sea Caves, where they will set anchor and you will begin your snorkeling adventure around our gorgeous sandstone cliffs and into the caves (conditions permitting).
You can expect to see the many species who call this Cove home, including the California Sea Lion, Garibaldi fish, Brandt’s Cormorant, Brown Pelican, Shovelnose Guitarfish, Sea Star, Bat Ray, Round Stingray, octopus, and so many more that you may not otherwise encounter without diving into their habitat!
