Pura Vida!
Directly translated Pura Vida means “pure life”. In Costa Rica, the term Pura Vida is used more to say that everything is great, life is good, and to convey the Ticos’ general attitude towards living a relaxed, happy lifestyle. When you join us this fall in Costa Rica, as well as finding a little pura vida of your own, we are also giving you a taste of what this amazing country has to offer with an itinerary that does just that!
With a few days on the stunning pacific coastline, we will enjoy diverse and thrilling diving with large schools or reef fish and pelagics as the norm. We will be looking and listening for the humpback whales that migrate through at this time of year as we dive with shark, and various types of rays including the possibility of manta. If diving is not your thing, this vacation still has you covered. With so much to see and do from cultural tours and nature hikes, some of the world’s best ziplines, river cruises, white water rafting, canyon trekking, the list goes on.
In fact, Costa Rica’s land-based attractions are so amazing that this trip actually takes us away from the ocean for a couple of days to explore inland all together! For 2 nights we will stay at a beautiful hotel with its own natural hot spring pool with direct views of Mount Arenal, a stunning, active volcano. Our land explorations also include a sloth encounter, a walk through the rainforest looking for the incredible life that awaits us as we take in the amazing flora and fauna while we cross waterfalls on hanging bridges! We bring our vacation to a close with a soak in one of the most picturesque natural thermal springs in the country. Ahhhhhh….Pura Vida awaits!
