PurePods Little River

The Little River PurePod is nestled into regenerating bush, high above the town of Little River/Wairewa on Banks Peninsula, less than an hour’s drive from Christchurch. After a short drive on an unpaved road up to the secure car parking area, there is a beautiful 600-metre nature walk up to the PurePod. The PurePod is set in a clearing planted with local tussocks, grasses, flaxes and ferns.Views from the glass cabins are virtually 360-degrees, not forgetting the wide open sky above. Look directly south over Lake Forsyth/Wairewa to the Pacific Ocean while a panoramic view of the ancient volcanic Banks Peninsula crater rim takes attention around to the Western Valley. The PurePod contains local reference books describing the flora and fauna of the Banks Peninsula as well as the unique geophysical structure of the area.
