At about 7:00 am you will be collected from your hotel by a Fisherman Tours representative, and transferred to Zanzibar Airport for the scheduled flight to Nairobi (9:50 am) to connect with the scheduled flight to Antananarivo, Madagascar (12:15 pm). Upon arrival to Antananarivo, after clearing immigration formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the exit. Here you will be met by a Madagascar Classic representative and transferred to Relais des Plateaux where you will stay for one night.

At 5:00 am you will be collected from your hotel by a Madagascar Classic representative and transferred to Ivato International Airport for the scheduled flight to Diego Suarez (7:00 am/8:55 am). Upon arrival, after collecting your baggage, proceed to the exit. Here you will be met by a Madagascar Classic representative and transferred to Nature Lodge Diego where you will stay for two nights.
In the afternoon, you will drive for an excursion to the Red Tsingy. The journey is rich in sightseeing, as the sapphire mining, the breadbasket of the region with its green colour. After a few hours’ drive, take the junction to the Red Tsingy, reached within 01 hour. This is a hard drive on a bumpy truck, but once arrives on the site; the marvel of the ephemeral Tsingy gives you the best well-being and different feeling. Another amazing landscape for pictures.

This morning you will meet with your local English speaking guide and drive to Montagne d’Ambre National Park for a full day visit. Established by the French in 1958, this volcanic massif and its surrounding forest are now one of the country’s best examples of ecotourism, which invites local community participation in planning and management. Thousands of acres of mountain rainforest are home to extraordinary plant and animal life. Huge ferns and strangler figs flourish in the forest, while several indigenous species of lemurs, including Sanford’s lemur and the crowned lemur, are also found here. You may even see ring-tailed mongoose and fossa. Magnificent birdlife includes crested ibis, paradise flycatcher, forest rock thrush and ground-rollers. You may wish to make one of the waterfalls the destination of your trip – as you make your way to one of the dramatic falls, you can learn more about the area’s inhabitants.

At 8:00 am you will be collected from your hotel by a Madagascar Classic guide and driven to Analavory Geysers (2 hours 30 min drive without traffic). Only a few kilometres from the National road, a path leads visitors to the Analavory Geyser, which offers a gushing spectacle. The geyser site counts four geyser springs. The intensity of the water expulsion varies. Time to take photos, have lunch and drive back to Tana. If time permits, you can have a visit of Lemurs Park on the road back.

At 6:00 am you will be collected from your hotel for the transfer to the airport for a private charter flight to Amborondia for a take-off at 06:30 am (~ 1 hour 45mn flight). On arrival at Amborondia airstrip, you will be met by your English speaking local guide, and then directly transferred by 4X4 vehicle to gate of the “Grand Tsingy”. The walk itself is an adventure: on tiptoe over the sharp roof of the Tsingy, crossing the high roped-bridge, and meandering through pockets of dry deciduous forest. This unique site, a virtual forest of 50 meter high limestone peaks is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and located about 20km from the village of Bekopaka. The Tsingy are razor sharp pinnacles produced by the erosion of limestone massifs over millions of years. The Tsingy shelters a startling array of wildlife: 11 species of lemur (including Verreaux and Decken’s sifaka and the red-fronted brown lemurs), 103 species of terrestrial and aquatic birds, 15 species of bats, 22 species of amphibians and a variety of reptiles. Take pictures and picnic lunch. In the afternoon, drive to the hotel (~ 1 hour 30 drive). Transfer to Le Soleil des Tsingy where you will stay for one night.

At 6:30 am you will be collected from your hotel and transferred to the airstrip and private flight to Morondava (1 hour-flight). Morondava is situated in the heart of Sakalava territory and is known for its elaborately, sculpted wooden royal tombs. These tombs are frequently decorated with well-executed, funerary carvings representing life and fertility. In the late afternoon, you will drive to the “Allée des Baobabs” to enjoy the gorgeous sunset. Transfer to Palissandre Côte Ouest Hotel where you will stay for one night.
