Upon arrival into Entebbe, after completing immigration and customs formalities, collect your baggage and proceed to the Arrivals Hall. Here you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative to connect with your private charter flight to Kihihi. On arrival, you will be met by an Alluring Africa representative for your road transfer to Bwindi Lodge where you will stay for two nights.

This morning, you will go on a gorilla trek. Porters will be available for you.
After breakfast take a short drive to Park Headquarters and meet with excellent local guides and trackers who will give a talk on the etiquette of gorilla trekking. We then hike into the forest where the gorillas were seen the night before and track from that point. The trekking can take from 1 to 6 hours and climb to altitudes in excess of 7,500 feet. The terrain is rough and at times muddy. Although the hike is physically demanding the beauty of the forest and surrounding scenery make the trekking worthwhile. Once the gorillas are located all fatigue is forgotten, as the experience is often described as being the most profound natural history experience in the world.
Picnic lunches are provided, and it is important to take plenty of water. Cameras and plenty of fast speed film are recommended. It can rain at a few minutes notice; hence waterproof clothing is a good essential including zip lock bags for cameras and film.
After the trek you will be escorted back to the lodge for dinner.

Get an insight into the vibrant and still traditional way of life of the Maasai on a cultural visit to a village. Learn about the medicinal plants that grow here, the importance of cattle and the stages of life through which all Maasai pass, from young boy or girl to respected elder. Accompanied by an experienced Maasai guide you are invited to visit the village which is built along traditional lines; complete with cattle enclosure, outer palisade and mud and cow dung huts. Meet the elders, their wives and families and learn about the social structure of the homestead, the role of women in their society and many more aspects of their daily life. Interaction and discussion is encouraged, so whether the ladies are building a hut, the warriors are dancing or making fire with stones and sticks, guests are free to join in.

Today, you will have a Full Day Guided Tour to visit the Hadzabes & Datoq tribes.
Enjoy the day at Lake Eyasi , with a full day visit to the bushmen tribe of Hadzabe, Datoga and Irakwand tribe and visit to the nearby school. A melting pot of culture, Kisima Ngeda offers a different experience from what you’ll find on a traditional safari. Here you can explore the trails around the lake, canoe along the shore, mountain bike by baobabs and acacias, walk through nearby tribal villages, or just sit and enjoy the beautiful lake views, especially at sunset on top of the rock.
While it’s possible to see wildlife, what makes Kisima Ngeda truly special is the opportunity to visit with the local tribes. The waDatoga are a pastoral group like the Maasai, and it’s always interesting to visit the local blacksmith or a Datoga boma.
To the southeast of the lake is the Yaida valley, home to the Wahadzabe tribe of hunter-gatherers. And of course spending a day with the waHadzabe, hunter-gatherers that speak the language of the first human inhabitants of the continent, is like taking a trip back far into our own past. Watch them hunt hornbills and learn how these wonderful people continue their traditions in this modern day.

The Crater Lodge can provide some of the best game viewing drives into the crater and Ngorongoro Conservation Area that East Africa can offer. Bush walks around the lodge are also available, as well as excursions to Olduvai Gorge. For those that want to take some “time out” from the rigors of a game drive you are invited to use the Library and indoor board games. Other facilities include a central dining area/lounge, a craft and curio shop and a kart for ferrying luggage/guests to the camps.
The Ngorongoro Crater is game viewing gone crazy and it is not surprising that with is one of Tanzania’s major tourist drawcards. Within the crater rim a daily wildlife drama is played out as large herds of zebra and wildebeest graze nearby lions, leopards, elephants and black rhinos. Outside of the crater a similar drama continues in a more spread out manner with Masai herdsmen thrown into the mix.
The Ngorongoro Crater is often called ‘Africa’s Eden’ and the ‘8th Natural Wonder of the World. As the largest unbroken un-flooded caldera in the world the Ngorongoro Crater is 19km long by 16km wide by 1km deep. This truly magical place is home to Olduvai Gorge, where the remains of a 1.8 million year old skeleton was discovered. The Ngorongoro Crater and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area are without a doubt some of the most beautiful parts of Tanzania.
You can do an early morning game drive in an open to 4×4, and try and see an early morning kill and see the hippos meandering in to the hippo pool. You have the opportunity to pre-order your breakfast the day before so you can take it in to the crater, or you can come back to the lodge for breakfast. You can also participate in an afternoon game drive to see the lions basking in the sun.
You will descend into the crater through a lush highland forest, with magnificent birdlife to be spotted among the different tree species. Once on the grassy crater floor, you may discover a large variety of grazing herbivores, as well as the predators that are attracted by this abundant supply of prey. Depending on the time of year, you may see huge flocks of pink flamingo around the shores of the shallow Lake Magadi, while the surrounding swamp is inhabited by hippo.
